I went to Patagonia in April to capture red colors of autumn, but I am starting my posts with a touch of quickly approaching winter 🤷♀️. Maybe it is just a bit less common Patagonia mood ? This shot was taken on my last day at the end of April. The preceding night was the most cold of the entire trip and I don’t think I slept at all. I was exercising in my tent, trying not to freeze entirely. I meant to shoot the lake reflection of Fitz Roy but the lake froze while I was shooting. I will post shots with rapidly freezing lake later. This one I capture in the morning, around/after sunrise, which did not rise with colors this time. Was it too cold to break through first winter clouds?
I found the morning frost on barren trees somehow special to me as an announcement of change [of seasons].
